What To Expect

This 90 minute workshop includes:

• a brief introduction and overview
• 3 practical lessons (simple backdrop setup, shooting a product, quick editing with your phone)
• a final discussion with helpful tips and tricks to complete the workshop

What You Will Learn

Throughout the workshop, we will explore:

• Simple product photo setups
  Learn how to quickly create a seamless background using affordable household and dollar store items.

• Natural lighting techniques
  Use window light to get bright, clean product photos without expensive lighting equipment.

• Essential product photo angles
  Discover the most important shots needed for online sales, including hero shots, detail shots, and multiple product views.

• Hands-on practice
  Bring one of your own products and photograph it during the workshop.

• Quick photo editing on your phone
  Learn simple editing techniques using the free app Adobe Lightroom Mobile to brighten, crop, and polish your images.

FAQs

Can I photograph my own products?

Yes, depending on the size. This workshop is for smaller products that fit on a standard sized backdrop. Please specify your approximate product dimensions when registering.

Is this for Android or iPhone?

Both!

Will older phones work?

Ideally, your phone should be no more than 5 years old (depending on the phone) with multiple lens available. Please contact us directly if you are unsure.

Will I be learning how to use the manual camera settings on my phone?

Not in this workshop. As we aim to cover a wide variety of topics, there simply isn’t enough time. We will be holding more focused workshops to explore manual settings in the near future. Sign up for our newsletter for future workshop announcements or join our workshop waitlist.

Can I use my camera instead?

You can, but you won’t be able to edit your camera photos “live” in class. Please contact us for options.

Is this location peanut or allergy-free?

As this location is an operating bakery, unfortunately we cannot guarantee an allergy free environment.
